Derek Jeter has surpassed Lou Gehrig's all-time Yankee hit record. And it happened on a wet 9-11 night. Magical indeed.

Yankee owner George Steinbrenner was quoted saying,
"For those who say today's game can't produce legendary players,

I have two words: Derek Jeter."
Enough said.
