Super Blog Hog: There's a Carole King Song ...

"Well, it's too late, baby, now. It's too late, though we really did try to make it."

I can hear Carole King singing in my head. I'm trying to block it out until after the All-Star Game, but it's hard. If we get swept tonight, by your stinkin' Yankees, Dear Criss, there's little chance for an October run. While there was no doubt that we would not make it to the World Series, I thought the team would lose with a little more dignity, not break down after week one.

Sigh.

Let's be positive for a moment. Nomar had a lovely afternoon when he was honored by the team on Wednesday. He was there with his wife, Mia Ham Garciaparra. What a darling pair. Varitek caught his action pitch, and Trot Nixon was there for it all.
