End of an Era

And so we say goodbye to Varitek. I guess with Shoppach back (who had a bad attitude when he was last with the Sox), this is it - at least that's what they're saying. Well, it was a nice run. We probably won't encounter another like him in our lifetime.

Now, the countdown for Pats-Broncos. It's going to be a ratings bonanza! I will make sure to be home in time for this one. It's gonna be a nail-biter. I hope Tebow & Co. are watching lots of film and practicing their hearts out. You're rooting for Tebow, right Dear Criss?!

Blog Hog: Tebow Haters

A lot of people are drinking the Tebow Haterade, Dear Criss. But there's one writer who did a great job showing how ridiculous this all is, for crying out loud. Leave the kid alone. Check out this hilarious column in the Wall Street Journal.

Slacker

Whoa! I've been a slacker. You're an ultra slacker, but, now, I'm almost right up there, Dear Criss. What has happened recently? Everything!

1) I'm proud of Tim Tebow, who, despite all the haters, continues to win games. And each one is a nail-biter. They are so stressful; it's like watching a tight playoff game every week. Beating the Jets was a coup! Gulp, I think I saw New England on the schedule, but I'm too scared to double check.

2) Gronkowski is out of control! Have you seen him play? I hope the Pats don't cut him. Why do they cut the good guys every year?

3) Speaking of cutting the good guys, what's the deal with the rumors about the Celtics trading Rondo? That would be ridiculous.

4) Finally, yes, the Sox have a new manager. I'm not really excited, but I don't think I would be about anyone besides Francona. Good luck to Valentine (really). It's gonna be a heck of a job. Mike and Mike were arguing this morning about whether or not Boston would be a tougher market than NY. I think it will be.

Happy late Veteran's Day and Thanksgiving!
